Officially unveiled at Integrated Systems Europe, VBOX Mediaflow is a software platform designed to simplifyone of the biggest challenges in today’s audiovisual environment: the management, transformation and distribution of live signals between multiple systems and technologies.
It is neither an intake system nor a traditional playout.
VBOX Mediaflow is an intermediate orchestration layer that acts upstream of the end systems, allowing any video, audio or metadata signal to flow in a controlled, adaptive and scalable manner.
The problem: increasingly complex audiovisual environments
Today, media environments combine:
- Multiple formats and protocols (HD-SDI, SMPTE ST 2110, SRT, RIST, NDI, RTMP, RTP, RTSP, TS…)
- Specialized equipment difficult to scale
- Complex integrations between broadcast, IT, cloud, VMS and AI platforms
- Difficulty to send the same live signal to several destinations with different technical requirements
The result is often a rigid, costly infrastructure that is dependent on manual configurations.
The solution: an intelligent orchestration layer
VBOX Mediaflow receives the signals, adapts and prepares them before delivery to the target systems.
Pipeline-based architecture
The system works by means of dynamic pipelines composed of:
- Sources – Signal inputs
- Transformers – Processing, conversion, encapsulation or enrichment with AI
- Routes – Multiple simultaneous outputs
- All managed through APIs and centralized orchestration.

Key capabilities of VBOX Mediaflow
Multiprotocol input management
Reception of signals from any broadcast, security or streaming environment, regardless of format or transport.
Real-time processing and transformation
- Protocol conversion
- Adaptation of formats according to destination
- Insertion and extraction of metadata
- Ready for artificial intelligence-enriched streams
Simultaneous distribution to multiple destinations
A single signal can be sent to different systems, each with its own technical requirements, while maintaining full concurrency control and scalability. In addition, it integrates with professional ecosystems: broadcast systems, IT and cloud infrastructures or VMS systems such as Milestone Systems (and any other VMS).
Benefits for broadcast, corporate and security environments
- Reduction of dedicated hardware
- Greater operational flexibility
- Real software-based scalability
- Simplification of complex integrations
- Preparation for real-time AI workflows
